There is never a busier time for retail than Christmas and this year The Junior Company give us a peak into the break rooms of two rival toy shops; Toys4You and Sunshine Rainbow Kingdom. These establishments could not be more different in their approaches to the season of good will; one driven by profit and loss, the other customer satisfaction and team spirit. But what happens when two employees, Mark and Spenser, take the rivalry a little too far? Enjoy this festive show filled with fun, laughter, aggressive carolling, a pair of inflatable antlers and the true meaning of Christmas. And believe it or not, it has all been devised by the actors themselves!
It has been a couple years since the Junior Company have devised a show and it was a totally new experience for most in the group. They took to it like a fish to water! Their teamwork was exceptional as they shared ideas, created characters and shaped the story.
With Peri Nightingale and Harry Warrell providing the skeleton of the story, the group created a wonderfully funny and imaginative peace. It even had a moral and everything! The audience couldn’t believe they had devised it themselves. Good job!
