This summer the Junior Company took on it's most hilarious challenge yet in 'A Giants Giant Pizza.' The play followed the life of Olaf, a young boy with massive ears, who's just won the lottery. His main aim is to woo the beautiful Princess Pauline, her main aim is to get away from her overprotective Father and Bodyguards and have some fun. With appearances from a whacky Italian chef, a very unfriendly giant, a mother who cares only for Olaf's money and two of the cheesiest TV presenters ever as well as many other ridiculous characters, this play was always going to be a winner. It was also a great way to sent off, Josie, Geraldine, Hanna, Eve and Emily as they moved up into the Youth Theatre. The cast were, as ever, a privilege to work with and the play was a delight to direct. I think my favourite bit was the 'Ready, Steady Cook' pizza making scene, it was so bizarre all I could do was laugh. I think we all enjoyed that one. The audience response was very positive and I look forward to next summer and whatever show we will take on then. Game on and well done Junior Company.
