We find ourselves in the Kingdom of King Wenceslas at the time of the Feast of Stephen. The snow lays round about, deep and crisp and even and the King is out for a jog with his page boy Scruffy. His heart is moved when he sees a poor woman gathering winter’s fuel, so he sets out to give her a gift. But what seemed a simple gesture of generosity and good will is called into question by the King’s loyal subjects (who can’t even remember his name). We are invited to join the king on his quest through, Knights and Nuns, bathtubs and bureaucrats and... political correctness.
